There isn't a better place on earth than Jackson Hole to learn how to fly fish. The quality of fishing plus spectacular scenery makes this a perfect location to learn to fly fish.

For over 40 years Jack Dennis Fly Fishing Trips have been teaching people the sport of fly fishing. Unlike some schools, where you are just one in a group, this is a highly personalized instruction in which there will be no more than 2 clients per instructor.
The Snake River, where we focus our trips is known for its dry fly fishing, in which you will be able to see the trout rise to the fly. This is the excitement that fly fishing has to offer.
We supply all the equipment needed. You’ll just need to buy a fishing license, leader and a few flies. A great streamside lunch is also provided.
You will start your day in the morning at Teton Pines, where our trout filled casting pond is located. There your patient and professional casting instructor will teach you the basics of fly casting and you will even be able to cast and land some fish.
After lunch, you'll be taken to an actual fishing stream with wild fish and learn a variety of subjects needed for fly fishing. We’ll show you how to tie the knots, how to identify what the trout are eating, which flies to select for each situation and how to present your fly to the fish. This will prepare you for your next days float fishing trip.
Day 2On day 2 you will take a float fishing trip down the Snake, Green or possibly South Fork River. The choice will depend on the time of the year and water conditions. Wherever you go, you'll be in one of our comfortable drift fishing boats with an experienced fly fishing guide. We have been guiding fishermen for over 40 years and our sense of pride and dedication has always been our hallmark. All our fishing guides start out as fly fishing instructors before they become guides. They are as good of instructors as they are guides; we pride ourselves on that.
Day 3 (optional)If you wish to add a day, on the third day we’ll either take you on a float fishing trip on a different river, or possibly up to a small stream to do some wade fishing in Yellowstone Park We’ll make that choice with your guidance.
