Join us for a wading fishing trip on one of the most unique rivers to be found. The Firehole River in Yellowstone Park is like no other river in the world.

The wildlife, scenery and thermal activity make this a special fishing experience. Bison and elk wander around the river; geysers erupt right into the stream. Few rivers in the area can offer the variety of hatches, water types and fly fishing opportunities as the Firehole. A day spent on this river is one of the best ways to learn the various aspects of fly fishing. We begin guiding fly fishermen on the Firehole starting the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend (opening day).
For all the guided trips above we recommend bringing waders, rain gear and ample warm clothing. The weather in Yellowstone can be quite variable and some of the best fishing can be found on overcast and cool days. Generally your guide will meet you at our store in downtown Jackson, but other arrangements can be made. All our trips include lunch, transportation, beverages, park entrance and any loan rods. You’ll just need to get a few flies, leaders and a Yellowstone fishing license. Cameras and binoculars are well worth bringing, because it is uncommon not to see Elk and Bison along the river.
